I’m a sucker for a good dupe as much as the next gal, so when I saw this gloss floating around my TikTok fyp I was very intrigued. We all know the iconic Fenty Gloss Bomb but who doesn’t like to bag a bargain where we can. That’s where the Maybelline Lifter Gloss comes in, and I’m quickly declaring it a holy grail. I’m talking the could-not-live-without-bury-me-in type.
I’m a gloss girl all the way- as much as I try and branch out and go for a matte finish once in a while, my hands somehow always find the gloss. So, when I saw this one on my feed- I had to have a nosey. Two clicks later and it was on its way.
I found that not only does the Maybelline Lifter Gloss look AND feel like the Fenty gloss, but it also even has the giant doe foot applicator which makes application a dream. Literally a couple of swipes is all you need. Also, it smells lush and lasts all day (and night) so win-win!
The gloss contains hyaluronic acid which hydrates and plumps the lips (we all need a lil help here and there) and is non-sticky, which is a deal breaker for me, no one likes their hair getting stuck on their lips- ugh. For a third of the price compared to its high-end dupe, it’s my new staple lip essential for sure!
I paired the shade ICE, which is the lightest pinky nude, (they have loads of shades) for extra definition and viola you have a dreamy combo.
