Pastel hues are one of the biggest makeup trends of summer 2020, and as you’ll already know, we are obsessed with everything about these ultra-wearable shades. But, we know, it’s easy to appreciate a trend but it’s a lot harder to embrace it. If you’re not used to soft colours and dreamy vibes, pulling of a pastel look is a lot easier said than done.
That’s why we’ve enlisted the help of makeup artist, @gabxxrielle, and our sell-out (!!!) Pastel Palette to bring you not just one pastel eyeshadow tutorials, but three. You can thank us later.
Look One
Step One
After applying a white eye base to the lid to ensure the pigments can really pop, lightly dust First Light from the BEAUTY BAY Pastels Palette above the crease using a fluffy brush.
Step Four
Using a fine liner brush, create a winged liner using Suva Beauty Hydra FX Liner in Tracksuit. Start from the inner corner of the eye and sweep out to meet Golden Hour and Day Dream on the outer eye. Use the same shade to line the lower lashes, meeting the upper line in each corner.
Step Five
Draw another line alongside the original liner, on both the top and the bottom of the eye, using Suva Beauty’s Hydra Liner in Freezie. The lighter liner should be the same length and depth as the darker liner.
Step Six
Using Suva Beauty’s Hydra Liner in Space Panda, draw a curve above the crease that mimics the shape of the liner.
Look Two
Step Seven
With a fine liner brush and Suva Beauty’s Hydra FX in Cherry Bomb, create a large outline of a wing. For the longer line, start on the inner corner of the eye, avoiding the crease, moving the colour out towards the brow. Start the second, shorter line at the outer corner of the eye and drag it out towards the brow to meet the first line.
Step Eight
Add your favourite pair of dramatic lashes and coat them with L.A. Girl’s Volumatic Colour Mascara in Purple.
Look Three
Step Seven
Using Suva Beauty Hydra Liner in Space Panda, draw a curved line starting just above the corner of the inner eye and extending out towards the edge of the brow. Draw a second line from the outer corner of the eye to meet the end of the first line.
Step Eight
Once the Hydra Liner is tacky put not fully dry, use a fine liner brush to collect Stila’s Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in Gold Goddess. Apply precisely over the white liner to create a chrome look.
