‘Trials are so important as they are the best way to see how you are really going to look on the day. It’s important for an artist to know about your skin and your likes/dislikes BEFORE the day! It’s so crucial!’

‘With bridal makeup you need to pay attention to all the details and make sure they’re photo ready. I make sure to really prep the skin with hydration. I use a moisturiser with mixed with liquid highlighter to create a glow from within.’
@allyc_beauty
‘Use waterproof products! I know this one will be a must for me because I cry about everything. I avoid super matte products as they can photograph a little one dimensional but also avoid super dewy/shiny products as they catch light easily and can look greasy.’
@tayphillipsx
‘Skin prep is key for a flawless lasting base that will not budge through all the emotions of a wedding ceremony.’
@tatianacorreiamua
‘Use a really good setting spray! Preferably one that is waterproof. Sweat, tears and any champagne showers may damage the flawless work. Waterproof mascara is also a must!’

‘When it comes to bridal, the trick is to keep the look timeless! Trends come and go, so I would always recommend sticking to a more natural style (or a little smoky on the eyes) if you prefer a more glam look. I tend to stick to a more natural brow, lash, and lip. You want to look back in years to come and not hate the trends that have gone!
‘In addition to this, you also want to keep the makeup true to who you are. If you prefer a natural look, don’t feel the need to look completely different on your wedding day! You want to feel comfortable on the day, but still feel the best version of yourself.’
@doctoragloss
‘For a bridal makeup you absolutely need well prepare skin, a really GOOD primer, a foundation that suites the skin needs, and the most beautiful powders! And to finish you NEED Urban Decay All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray.’
@emmaahp
‘My best hack for keeping the makeup in place is to set your primer! Spray your face after primer and then apply foundation or whatever you use as your base. And also let your concealer and foundation set on your face before applying powder so it sticks better to your face instead of making a layer-on-layer kind of base.’
@jessgould__
‘To make sure your makeup is staying on, my biggest tip is to do small layers when applying the makeup. I powder the skin at the end with one powder and then with another. I also use setting spray twice within the makeup for extra setting.’
@makeupbyrifah
‘Start prepping weeks beforehand with a good skincare routine! You can’t have amazing skin from just skin prep on the day, you need to prepare early for soft smooth skin!’

‘I’m actually getting married this year so I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s tips and recommendations!
‘The best advice I’ve been given so far is that you should just look like a better version of yourself on your wedding day. Don’t drastically change your style because when you look back on your photographs won’t look like yourself and you’ll regret it.
‘Also, spend some time working out what skincare products work for you and what doesn’t because that prep before had is going to make all of the difference to your makeup application and longevity. Knowing your skin type and what products to use can change your life!’

‘Lashes! Individuals are great for a natural look.’
