1. ANUA Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner

Best for: Sensitive and acne-prone skin, but suits all skin types.

What does this ANUA toner do: The Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner from ANUA features a non-comedogenic, hydrating formula. Thanks to the ANUA toner ingredients in this particular one, it hydrates, reduces inflammation, naturally exfoliates, keeps moisture locked in, and also keep acne-causing bacteria at bay. It includes:

Heartleaf: Works to reduce inflammation and ward off bacteria that leads to acne by regulating sebum production. This is becoming an ‘it’ ingredient in the world of Korean skincare, as it also helps to hydrate skin and repair the barrier.

Panthenol: This keeps the skin hydrated and moisturised by holding and binding to water, as well as reinforcing the skin barrier.

Sugarcane extract: Reduces redness and gently sloughs away dead skin cells to reveal fresh, smooth skin, as it’s a natural source of glycolic acid. It also stimulates collagen and hyaluronic synthesis to leave skin plumper and more youthful looking.

Our favourite ANUA toner review: “I love this product, I’ve used it for just over a year now. It’s so soothing and hydrates my skin making it so glowy. I can tell when I haven’t used it.” – Robyn Y

2. ANUA BHA 2% Gentle Exfoliating Toner

Best for: Acne-prone and combination to oily skin

What does this ANUA toner do: The BHA 2% Gentle Exfoliating Toner gently exfoliates skin by deep cleaning pores, reducing congestion, and encouraging skin texture. It also controls the level of oil in your skin, meaning acne is minimised. Helping to strengthen the skin barrier, it also locks in hydration and prevents moisture loss. It includes:

Salicylic acid: Deep cleans pores, encourages cell turnover, and reduces congestion to improve skin texture and prevent acne by encouraging natural exfoliation. It also controls skin oil levels to minimise acne. This ingredient is also known as BHA (Beta-Hydroxy Acid.)

Panthenol: This keeps the skin hydrated and moisturised by holding and binding to water, as well as reinforcing the skin barrier.

Tea Tree Leaf Extract: Ideal for acne-prone skin, as it’s anti-inflammatory, prevents infection, and promotes skin healing.

Ceramides: Prevent moisture loss to keep the skin hydrated.

We recommend only using this toner in the evening as it can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. And if your skincare routine already includes actives like vitamin C, retinol, AHAs, or BHAs, it’s best to avoid this toner as the combination may irritate your skin barrier.

3. ANUA Heartleaf 77 Clear Pad

Best for: Sensitive skin, but suits all skin types.

What does this ANUA toner do: Perfect for when you’re on the go, the Heartleaf 77 Clear Pad from ANUA is ready to use – no cotton pad needed. The textured side is infused with PHA and works to gently exfoliate and smooth skin by sloughing away dead skin cells, unclogging pores, and removing blackheads. Whilst the non-textured side which is infused with heartleaf soothes breakouts, calms redness, and reduces skin flaking. The end result? A brighter, more radiant complexion thanks to these ingredients:

Heartleaf: Works to reduce inflammation and ward off bacteria that leads to acne by regulating sebum production. This is becoming an ‘it’ ingredient in the world of Korean skincare, as it also helps to hydrate skin and repair the barrier.

PHA: This ingredient exfoliates the skin’s surface, to improve texture and evenness.

Our favourite ANUA toner review: “I have been using these after cleansing for about 3 weeks now… my skin was red and bumpy with lots of texture but now its so much better! Almost all my spots have cleared up and my skin is super smooth. Highly recommend to really clean out your pores while still being really gentle.” – Harriet

How to use ANUA toner?

Step 1: Start by double cleansing your skin. We recommend using the ANUA Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil for your first cleanse, and the ANUA Heartleaf Quercetinol Pore Deep Cleansing Foam for your second.

Step 2: Next, either squeeze a small amount of the toner onto your hand or a cotton pad and gently pat the toner onto your face and neck. If you’re using a ready-to-go toner pad, simply swipe this across your skin.

Step 3: Once your skin has absorbed the toner, finish up with the rest of the Korean skincare routine.
