Call us biased, but we’ve been obsessed with Haircare By BEAUTY BAY for a hot minute, and it’s not hard to see why. Functional, affordable, and super effective, there’s nothing the brand can’t do for our hair, or that was what we thought, until they launched the Bond Repair Hair Balm, and took our haircare routines up a level.
What is a hair balm? When do I use a hair balm? Are hair balms good for hair? These are just a few queries we had when testing and trialling this deep conditioning, strengthening, leave-in hair balm, and now we’ve finally got all the answers.
Scroll to find out everything there is to know about the Haircare By BEAUTY BAY Bond Repair Hair Balm.
1. It builds broken bonds within the hair
This leave-in hair treatment works to strengthen deep within the hair fibres, supporting, connecting, building, and reconnecting bonds. Heard about hair bonds but still confused? (We once were too, don’t worry). Hair bonds are basically responsible for the shape, strength, elasticity and shine of our hair. They matter because if the bonds break, our hair strands will become brittle, damaged and ultimately break too, so building them up and reconnecting broken ones will help visibly reduce damage and breakage. And that is exactly what this hair balm does, after just one use.
2. It’s suitable for all hair types
This hair balm is suitable for all hair types, especially those with dry and damaged hair, making it perfect for anyone looking to target dehydrated, overexposed, and lacklustre strands, for hydrated and strong results.
3. It reduces hair breakage from the first use
Sounds too good to be true, but we’re telling the truth right here. This hair balm restores the hair fibre strength back to never-been-touched hair levels and strengthens the internal hair structure (we’re back to building bonds here) in just one use. Yep, after just one use of this treatment your hair will be left looking (and more importantly, feeling!) stronger, healthier, and on the road to recovery.
4. It softens, hydrates, and smooths hair
Not only does this treatment strengthen the hair, it also visibly and physically hydrates each strand from the first use, to leave hair feeling super soft and nourished, and looking thicker in appearance.
5. It’s easy to use
Never used a hair balm before? It’s super easy. Simply shampoo as usual, but skip the conditioner, then towel dry your hair with a microfibre towel. Then, take 1-2 pumps of the balm (depending on your hairs length, thickness, and conditioner), rub it between the palms of your hands and apply evenly to your hair. Stick to the mid lengths and ends, like you would your conditioner. Leave it for a few minutes then comb and style as usual. Easy peasy!
6. It contains pea protein and peptides
Boasting a silicone and sulphate free formula, this treatment also contains pea protein, known for stimulating and strengthening hair follicle stem cells while smoothing and adding fullness to the hair, plus peptides, known to help hair appear thicker.
